Great ideas, good times, and a weekend of fun!
On behalf of all of the members of Positivespace, we want to thank the students and instructors from Conway School of Landscape Design. These generous and extremely talented folks came from Massachusetts to Philadelphia and gave up three days of their time; over a busy holiday weekend, to help PositiveSpace imagine all the possibilities for our little vacant space on Frankford Avenue.
We are indebted to their diligent hard-work and deeply thankful for their suggestions and advice on creating a sustainable, greenspace on Frankford Ave – a perfect little sculpture garden. We also thankful to Kevin Adams who has spent many hours co-coordinating this weekend in a whirlwind over the past 2 months.
PositiveSpace extends it’s thanks to our neighbors and friends; Nancy and Bill Barton owners of the Philadelphia Brewing Company for donating the tasting room [and beverages] for Monday night’s presentation. David Williams, owner of Germ Books for graciously lending the use of his store on Saturday night. And Kim Creighton, Executive Director of Portside Arts Center, for the classrooms where we all worked through the weekend.
We look forward to continuing to develop the plans that you’ve set before us, and we are touched by your generosity and goodwill; Thanks for all of your help!
