ARTIST STATEMENT
Art is in the eye of the beholder. Art is a decision made by the outcome from the efforts of skill, inspiration, spontaneity, accident, luck, desire and anything under the sun, the moon and the stars.
The public and the art community quickly accepted digital photography. It did not raise the fury that electronic synthesized music created upon its mainstream introduction.
I, as many, embraced the new technology to experiment, hone my craft, redefine and expand artistic expression.
I try to capture people and events to tell a story: Memorial Day Ceremony, America the Beautiful Unintended Questions, etc. Some pictures stand-alone. I also have been fortunate to photograph erotica: not vulgar or porn.
Photography or picture taking is the medium that has my focus and is my third love. Music, especially song writing, was and still remains my second love.
I am happy to be the second of three generations that perform and participate in the arts.
