Standard Tap & Standard Craft is going strong

Published by Nick

Local area artists enjoyed the opportunity to bring thier work into the public eye on Saturday, December 8th. Hosted by Standard Tap for the fifth year running PositiveSpace’s Standard Craft allows local artists an opportunity to show a wide assortment of work, nestled comfortably on the second floor of the taproom. The event was so much fun, PositiveSpace has added another show to this years calender.

But what is a craft show without the people? The event drew a modest crowd as waves of satisfied restaurant-goers worked thier way through the show. The artwork on display was as varied as the famous restaurants menu; offering works in paper, silver, glass and even circuit board. The relaxed environment allowed shoppers to appreciate the work and purchase the hand-made items on display.

With the holidays bearing down so abruptly, PositiveSpace has arranged with another local eatery to take take their show on the road. The next craft show is appropriately named the Procrastinator’s Holiday Bazaar, and will undoubtly be more hectic as its scheduled for December 22nd; the Saturday before Christmas. This craft show will be held at the M-Room, from 11am to 4pm. More information about this show can be found at Procastinators’ Holiday Bazaar entry.
