Fiscal Sponsorship Program

Published by Andrea Silva

As a service to the artists and arts groups in our community, PositiveSpace manages a Fiscal Sponsorship Program.

The services of this program include accepting donations and/or grants, securing and tracking all funds in the PS bank account, providing fiscal oversight for disbursements, and limited reviewing of grant proposals. There is a 5% fee charged to cover these services. Additional bookkeeping and fundraising services are available for additional fees.

Application is by proposal including project description, artists involved, budget, fundraising plan, time table. Upon receipt of your application, a member of the Fiscal Sponsorship Committee will contact you within 30 days.
Upon acceptance PS will draw up a terms of agreement letter that includes: what services will be provided by each party; how payments will be made, roles and responsibilities of fiscal agent and grantee; and how the arrangement can be terminated, and the consequences of termination.

The following are the projects PositveSpace has supported by year:

2007 – Courtyard Dancers and the Portside Arts Center.
